iPod Touch 2G
Wow, thank you all for the feedback. We have some good news for you:
RjDj will soon run on iPod Touch 2G!
There is one thing however: you will need to get a headphone with a microphone included, just like on iPhone Edge 2G.
We are preparing an update for this, and working hard on ironing some issues. We are also preparing the next steps and features, and look forward hearing more comments from you. Again, thank you all for the amazing feedback we received so far!

Hi.
Bought the album today but refuses to sync to my ipod touch 2g saying that the
app is not compatible with my ipod ?,my ipod touch is 8gig one week old and running 2.1.1 so i cant understand why it refuses to load as your site is saying that they are now compatible. Will be using monster isonitalk mic adapter for recording purposes, so any idea’s guy’s as your help in sorting this matter would be greatly appreciated, i want to get recording!.

This NEEDS to be ported to the iPod touch 1st gen. Those of us in the know have hacked our 1st gen iPod Touchs to accept microphone input. There’s no reason for this program not to work once you add microphone support to the 1st gen Touch
I’m a bit pissed I paid for it through iTunes, and it won’t sync because iTunes thinks it’s incompatible
Please fix this ASAP

i’m so beyond excited for this!!! it’s actually the main reason i bought an ipod touch 2g. i watched the demo vids and knew it was something i must own. kudos on the art direction also. as an illustrator myself i love seeing refreshing colorful artwork to go along with an amazing product :D

I see you have re-worded your original statement from “is now compatible” to will soon run on ipod touch 2g, doe’s this mean that the people who bought the app based on the strength of your original statement will get the new compatible ipod touch 2g app free when it is finally released as a replacement for the non usable version ?.
Any chance of an answer to these questions in the near future ?.

App looks great, good reviews. Useless for me as I don’t have Apple iPhone headphones nor do I plan on paying for any cause they suck. Would be great if the app would use the voice mic for input.

I love this app, works great, so good work on that..but:
a) you guys really need to update RJDJ with more scenes. The app has been out for ages and I can’t believe no one has created new scenes since.
b) this website is dead. No forum, no updates, nothing going on. After the huge buzz for the release, what on earth happened?
Apart from these issues, I enjoy your work same as everyone else.

Please please for godsake update this app so it uses the built in mic on the 2nd Gen Iphones! It’s driving me nuts not being able to use it! I don’t want eveyone just getting fed up with waiting and then someone else making a similar fully functioning app and this one being forgotten.

Now, I own a iPhone Headset with a mic for my iPod Touch 2G (by the way: the iPod Touch 2G have NO build-in microphone). That was the easiest part of the exercise, but now I can believe that RjDj is a strong digital drug, cause I suffer from heavy withdrawals, couldn’t still use it. I’m looking the YouTube-samples over and over again :-)
Can you please give all the impatient RjDj-junkies like me a little status-report, or much better, a release date for the iPod touch version?
Have you already written to Brian Eno that he should forget his Bloom-App and work better within your projects? :-)

This is REALLY frustrating. I actually went out and bought a mic adapter and then paid for the album version a long time ago, after reading on your website that it worked with the Touch, only to discover that you had done some upgrade that no longer worked with the Touch. I wrote and received a timely reply, but that was a while ago. Can’t we get the new version out soon? Please.

Im already hooked on this drug just from watching the utube samples.
It would be cool if ud take the Ipod Touch 2G’s faster CPU(533MHZ) into consideration. Maybe add one more sampling or soomething like that.

I know the Ipod Touch 2G has the ability of recording something without any headphone/earplugs or what you like to call them. It is against the SDK? If not can you try to use the Ipod Touch 2G feature of recording something? THx

This should be made compatible with iPod Touch 1G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 1st gen iPod Touch DOES have microphone input through the dock connector. PLEASE port this awesome program to the 1G Touch!!!

RJDJ 0.6.5 does indeed work on 1. gen iPod touch with 2.2 update and a Macally ivoice III mic.
Other dock connector mics, made for iPod gen 5 and never may also work.
A tip. This only works when headphones are inserted as well as the mic.
