Kids on DSP out NOW!!

Kids on DSP

The Kids hit the APP store!! Augmented Reality Reactive Minimal Techno Madness just a click away.

Ladies and gentleman, we are proud to present the latest child in the RjDj family: The Kids on DSP app is out from today 2nd of october 2009. Almost one year after RjDj’s initial launch, the Kids on DSP mark a remarkable progress in how reactive music can sound. The Kids app is the logical progression from RjDj oldies such as “Echolon” and “Worldquantizer”  and at the same time embeds those first experimental approaches into an unparalleled holistic musical experience.

London based Kids on DSP worked closely with artists such as Carl Craig and Acid Pauli. The application features 8 scenes which all play in the reactive minimal techno domain with a twist on microphone input. Read more about the app here.

[...] We had a great time on Friday eve at the Kids on DSP reactive album iPhone application launch party at RjDj. The kids did a live set that included audio sampling from 5 mics located around the space, as well as a skype in option where party guests ( or anyone – as we advertised it on twitter ) could dial into the mix and have their voices reactively control the music. It was a wild effect ! Someone mentioned there was a recording of it somewhere, so hopefully that may surface soon somewhere on the interwebs – I will link to it if it does. [...]

I want all scenes as in-app purchase, since I don’t want more than one RJDJ app one my phone…

    hey rocco
all the kids on dsp scenes are downloadable through the standard rjdj player as in app purchases… try it out, let us know if there are any problems.

I would love the ability to purchase the entire batch of “kids on dsp” scenes at once within the rjdj app… Like buying an album in iTunes? Also is there a way to filter by artist or search by keywords planned for the rjdj store?

yes we are working on “album” support for the RjDj player and i hope you will see a new dedicated store in the RjDj app very soon. Stay tuned, everything you said is on the roadmap.
