Make it reactive

Music is changing in an exciting new way. With technologies like RjDj, its now possible to create music which reacts to the listener and their environment in truly amazing ways. This opens up the doors to a new dimension in music composition. The possibilities are endless.

If you make music in any way, there is a way for you to make reactive music scenes which you can then share here through the reactive music universe. You can remix existing tracks into reactive scenes, in parallel to producing traditional tracks or albums, or create entirely new reactive compositions from scratch.

The RjDj Composer Pack contains a range of tools for scene creation. At the moment they consist of a customised version of Pure Data and a large library of music making tools, but soon we hope to release a range of graphical reactive composition tools. We want to encourage the existing reactive music community, built around platforms like Pd, Max/MSP/Jitter and Supercollider to make use of these. Then if you like, share your music using the RjDj distribution platform.

It’s easy to upload your scene to our site without having it displayed publicly and only accessible and downloadable for your friends to test things out first. Once you are happy with everything, we can include your scene in the public listing. Soon, as an artist you will also have your own artists page where you can promote your musical content.

As well as freely distributing your scenes, we are offering the possibility to sell your scenes through our website ( store soon to be accessable from within the RjDj mobile app ) or co-produce a standalone RjDj app bundled with your content. If you are interested in selling your scene, please send us an email to artists at rjdj.me.
